Jesse Marlow- International street photographer of the year

Jesse Marlow- International street photographer of the year, this is why. A clever use of the genres classic conventions such as juxtaposition and the decisive moment in combination with comedy and great images quality has made Marlow's work celebrated. He has not tried to re-invent the wheel in street photography, which is a common mistake, you really do not have to.  Marlow has clearly played homage to Doisneau and Bresson with his technique in capturing the modern day street.

Stand your ground, what are the rules of photographing in a public space?

With the rules and regulations being constantly mis-quoted by security and police what are the actual rules for photographing within a public space/property? This video explores the journey of 5 photographers taking images around the business district within central London to establish what challenges this may cause to their capturing. Fascinating watch, with laws explained crystal clear.

Philipp Paulus- Light

A couple of nice photographs experimenting with lighting by Philipp Paulus, Obviously shot outdoors at night with an artificial light source but the flare is added in post production. It looks as thought the light blurs and lower opacity layers have been added in post production via Photoshop from previously taken images, Lots of La Chapelle influences coming through in his work.
